How can I make the fields non-editable on a populated PDF Form?
How can I make the fields non-editable on a populated PDF Form?
Solution
You can remove the ability to edit or change data entered in a populated PDF form by setting the security settings and permissions.
Enable encryption, and select 128 bit
Enter a owner password
Under Permissions, select everything except 'AllowModifyContents,AllowFillins,AllowModifyAnnotations'
With those permissions removed, the populated PDF will not be editable.
Note: these instructions are not applicable for forms created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer, and only apply to 'AcroForms'.
